I started Silicon Valley Tutor in an effort to elevate high school and undergraduate students’ academic performance. My philosophy in education is to dive deep and never be satisfied with simply skimming the surface of a topic because who knows… it just may be the topic you choose to pursue in higher education! In my second semester of my senior year in high school, I took an introductory economics course and it immediately clicked with me. The everyday applicability of the subject and the quantitative substance to reinforce theoretical hypotheses stimulated every aspect of my mind. Coupled with my passion for being a life-long learner, I propelled myself from being a first-generation university graduate to a first-generation Masters Candidate.
I humbly seek to pass on the tools I used everyday — including study habits, a deep understanding of topics in mathematics and economics, advice about being a first-generation student, and the college-student experience — to students seeking to dive deeper or find clarity in their studies. Each student deserves to have an opportunity to grow in an environment that curates a learning experience that aligns with their individual learning style and the space to ask questions with confidence. I make it a priority to create this space for each of my students in order to promote personal growth and academic excellence in all fields.
